This vole sat on a Lily frond and promptly sunk to the waist. This did not deter it from feeding though, as you can see! 23rd Sept 2009

Long-tailed Tit
This juvenile bird was moving through the trees with a large family party of about 20 birds. 30th August 2009

This particular day at Bempton Cliffs was fantastic - the wind was just right, letting the birds "ride" the up-draughts, giving spectacular BIF opportunities!

Caspian Tern (USA)
A stroll along Spanish Bay, near Monterey, California, USA, found this male Caspian Gull suddenly shocked to discover that a Gull had taken the "prize" he had caught for his mate. The reaction was shock, followed by a violent, noisy, but eventually unsuccessful chase, by both Terns, to retrieve it.
