I love taking photographs of wild creatures, mainly birds, but getting results, now that's the tricky bit - lots of hours, lots of patience, some skill and of course some luck!

I have been taking photographs for about 25 years on and off, but over the last 5 years I have concentrated on photographing animals in the wild, mainly birds in flight. Most of my photography I try and do in the UK, although I get to the USA whenever I can - the sheer variety and availability of birds is astonishing.

Just lately I have put a lot of effort into getting images of birds "in action", which can mean fighting, flying, landing, calling, singing, mating - anything with movement.
