Bird Photography with Digital Cameras

Birds are notoriously difficult to photograph, especially small wild birds. What happens if a bird wants to hide behind a branch - do you ask it to move - do you move and spook the bird - do you mask it out in Photoshop - or do you accept that it's nature and move onto the next opportunity. The problem of getting "full-frame" photos has been made easier with the purchase of a Swarovski ATS 80 HD spotting scope, which has been mounted directly onto a 35mm Compact Camera using the Swarovski DCA adapter.

To get high quality images though, there is still no substitute for a digital SLR and good quality lens - Some of the later images are taken with a Canon 40D and a Canon 400mm L f5.6 lens.
